I read this today and thought it was worth sharing:
Doubts concerning Adam’s primogeniture, his “firstborn” status as the first human, undermine Paul’s presuppositions, reasoning, and conclusions, since they are deemed mistaken and outmoded ideas belonging to a more scientifically primitive age. If so, then we are completely at the mercy of the claims of modern science and skeptical biblical scholarship to tell what we can and cannot believe in the rest of Paul’s writings. Yet science has often proved to be mistaken, the Bible never has. (Greg Halsam, “The Fall and Death,” Should Christians Embrace Evolution?, 2009, 71)
